SUMMARY:Carbon Literacy Training
DESCRIPTION:We’ve teamed up with Southwark Climate Collective who is partnering with Positive Planet to help you learn more about climate change\, what it means for your business and how you can take positive action. This is a full day of training in-person with breakfast and lunch provided. Each business participating in the Southwark Climate Collective is welcome to invite two colleagues along to the training. \nWhat’s on offer? \nCarbon Literate individuals understand how climate change will affect them\, both geographically and locally. Individuals who receive Carbon Literacy training typically realise carbon savings of 5-15%. \nThe aims of the course are: \n\nTo gain an understanding of the different greenhouse gases\, where they come from and the impact they are having on our climate.\nTo acquire a sense of urgency about the climate emergency.\nTo know how you can reduce your carbon footprint.\nTo understand your role in your company’s Carbon Reduction Plan and journey to Net Zero.\nTo empower you to take action and influence others.\n\nThe benefits for your business: \n\nEncourages new ideas and efficiencies within the organisation.\nExplains the rationale for change and action.\nAllows you to build a network of like-minded businesses that can result in future partnerships and collaborations.\nEnhanced reputation and profile of organisation.\nImproved competitiveness.\n\nThis course is the equivalent of 8 hours of CPD training and requires attendees to carry out tasks prior to attending the in-person course.
