Uncle Byte is IFB Gaming’s community-facing digital safety and confidence programme. It uses storytelling, comics, and practical learning to help families and communities navigate the digital world safely and confidently.
Why Uncle Byte matters
Digital exclusion is not only about access to devices or data. For many families, older adults, and newly connected households, it is about confidence, trust, and safety.
Online scams, misinformation, and fear-driven narratives can deter people from using essential digital services — including education, employment, and healthcare.
Uncle Byte addresses this gap by making digital safety understandable, relatable, and non-stigmatising, supporting people where they are, in settings they already trust.
