The Stage Index is a proprietary digital inclusion assessment tool developed by IFB Gaming. This licence sets out the terms under which it may be used.

Definitions

In this Licence, the following terms have the meanings set out below:

“Stage Index™”
The proprietary digital inclusion assessment framework developed by IFB Gaming, including its name, staged progression model, assessment criteria, scoring structure, and any associated materials, whether published or unpublished.
“IFB Gaming”
IFB Gaming UK, the sole owner of all intellectual property rights in the Stage Index.
“You” / “Licensee”
The individual or organisation that has accepted this Licence by accessing, downloading, or using the Stage Index or any Licensed Materials.
“Licensed Materials”
Any Stage Index documents, tools, templates, reports, or resources made available to you under this Licence.
“Non-commercial use”
Use that is not primarily intended for or directed towards commercial advantage or monetary compensation.
“Digital Inclusion Toolkit”
The separate IFB Gaming toolkit document, which is licensed under Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 and is not subject to this Licence.

Grant of Licence

Subject to the terms of this Licence, IFB Gaming grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to:

Use the Stage Index name and Licensed Materials for internal assessment and reporting purposes only.
Reference the Stage Index in non-commercial publications, reports, or presentations, provided attribution requirements in Section 4 are met.
Share Licensed Materials within your organisation for the purposes described above.

This Licence does not grant any rights beyond those expressly stated. All other rights are reserved by IFB Gaming.

Restrictions

You may not, without prior written permission from IFB Gaming:

Reproduce, distribute, or publish the Stage Index name or Licensed Materials to third parties outside your organisation.
Adapt, modify, translate, or create derivative works based on the Stage Index methodology or Licensed Materials.
Use the Stage Index name or Licensed Materials for any commercial purpose, including paid services, consultancy, or training.
Sublicence, assign, or transfer your rights under this Licence to any other person or organisation.
Represent or imply that your organisation is affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of IFB Gaming.
Remove, obscure, or alter any attribution, copyright notice, or branding associated with the Stage Index.

Attribution Requirements

Whenever you reference the Stage Index in any publication, report, presentation, or other material, you must include the following attribution, clearly visible and unmodified:

Stage Index™ is a proprietary tool developed by IFB Gaming. ifbgaming.com/stage-index-licence

Where digital publication permits, the attribution should include a hyperlink to ifbgaming.com/stage-index-licence. The attribution may not be modified, hidden, or placed in a location where it would not reasonably be seen.

Intellectual Property

The Stage Index™, including its name, concept, methodology, scoring framework, and all associated materials, is and remains the sole and exclusive intellectual property of IFB Gaming. Nothing in this Licence transfers any ownership rights to you.

The Digital Inclusion Toolkit published by IFB Gaming is separately licensed under Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0. That licence does not extend to the Stage Index. Where the Stage Index appears within or alongside the Toolkit, the Stage Index remains subject to this Licence only.

No Warranty

The Stage Index and Licensed Materials are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. IFB Gaming does not warrant that the Stage Index will meet your requirements or produce any particular outcome. You use the Stage Index entirely at your own risk.

Termination

This Licence is effective until terminated. IFB Gaming may terminate this Licence immediately, without notice, if you breach any of its terms. Upon termination:

All rights granted under this Licence cease immediately.
You must destroy or return all Licensed Materials in your possession.
You must remove all references to the Stage Index from any materials you control, within 30 days of termination.

Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 survive termination of this Licence.

Governing Law

This Licence is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Licence shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using any Licensed Materials, or by registering to access the Stage Index via the IFB Gaming website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Licence.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Stage Index or any Licensed Materials. To request formal written permission for any use not covered by this Licence, contact info@ifbgaming.com.

PA

Partner Agreement — Countersigned Use

For organisations wishing to formally use the Stage Index in structured delivery, reporting, or partnership activities, IFB Gaming requires a countersigned partner agreement. This extends the standard licence terms to cover organised use and creates a record of authorised users.

How to sign and return
1 Download the PDF and print, or sign digitally using a tool such as Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, or Preview on Mac.
2 Complete your name, title, organisation, and date in the Licensee signature block on page 2.
3 Email the signed document to info@ifbgaming.com with the subject line Stage Index Licence — Signed Agreement.
What happens next
IFB Gaming will review your signed agreement and respond within 5 working days. You will receive a countersigned copy by email confirming your authorised use of the Stage Index. You should not commence formal use of the Stage Index until you have received this confirmation.
