Gaming Equity Network

Founding Member – Quick FAQ

Clear, low-pressure answers for organisations and leaders considering involvement in the founding cohort.

What is the Gaming Equity Network?

The Gaming Equity Network is a collaborative space bringing together organisations and leaders to explore equity, inclusion, accessibility, and responsibility across gaming and digital culture.

What does “Founding Member” mean?

Founding Members help shape the Network’s early direction, priorities, and ways of working. This is about influence and stewardship, not branding or publicity.

Is this a pledge or public commitment?

No. Participation does not require signing the Gaming Equity Charter or making any public statements. Engagement at this stage is informal and exploratory.

What is the relationship between the Network and the Charter?

The Network is a space for learning and collaboration.

The Charter is a voluntary, optional statement of principles that organisations may choose to sign later — or not at all.

Who is convening the Network?

The Network is convened by IFB Gaming, a digital inclusion organisation working across research, community programmes, and responsible technology practice.

What is expected of Founding Members?

There are no formal obligations. Founding Members are invited to:

  • contribute perspectives and experience
  • help shape priorities and guardrails
  • participate in a small number of structured conversations
How much time is involved?

Light-touch by design.

Approximately 2–3 short sessions over 3–4 months, plus optional written input.

Who else will be involved?

A small, diverse founding cohort across industry, charity, delivery organisations, and policy-adjacent bodies. The emphasis is on balance, not scale.

Is this commercial?

No. The Network is not a sales or membership product. Any future funding or sustainability models will be transparent and co-designed.

Can we step back later if needed?

Yes. Participation is voluntary and can be paused or ended at any time without issue.

Note: Founding participation is designed to be low-pressure and practical. There is no requirement to sign the Charter or make any public commitments.
