“For a lot of people, the first thing they learn to do confidently online isn’t filling in a form. It’s playing a game.”
Gaming is often where someone first changes a text size, turns on subtitles, remaps a controller, uses voice chat or finds a community that understands them. For many disabled and neurodivergent people, it’s where the digital world first feels built with them in mind.
That confidence can carry over into booking a GP appointment, managing benefits or keeping in touch with family. Yet gaming is still missing from most digital inclusion plans. No single organisation can change that alone. Together, we can.
John Adewole, Founder and Head of Digital Inclusion, IFB Gaming
Who should join
- Gaming CICs, charities and accessible gaming organisations
- Schools, colleges and youth services
- Libraries, community hubs and digital inclusion projects
- Games and esports companies
- Researchers, funders and policy-adjacent bodies
What founding members do
- Help decide the network’s first priorities and how it works
- Share a one-line commitment to gaming equity, in your own words
- Join two or three short online sessions over the next few months
- Be named as a founding member at the launch on 3 December
Why organisations only? The network is about changing how services, schools and the games industry work, so each member needs to be able to act on behalf of an organisation. Please register with your organisation email address. If your organisation doesn’t have its own email domain, email info@ifbgaming.com and we’ll register you directly. Individuals can follow the network through our Gaming Guide Series.
Register your organisation
It takes about two minutes. We’ll confirm by email and keep you updated ahead of the launch. Have a question first? Read the Gaming Equity Network FAQ.
